Abernathy, Carol Collins mILWauKIe, Collins abernathy passed away Tuesday, nov. 12, 2019, due to complications related to disease. She was born dec.

25, 1938, at Little Company of mary Hospital in Chi- cago, to Harry and elsa (We- strich) Collins. She loved to tell ev- eryone she was a She attended K-8 at Central School in evergreen Park. She began high school at Calumet High School in Chicago and finished in the brand new school in evergreen Park where she was in the first graduating class in 1957. She earned her bS in bacte- riology at the uW-madison in 1961. during her college years, she at- tended meetings of the older youth Group at the First methodist Church in madison.

It was here that she met her first husband, Karl Leemkuil. They married in 1961, at the methodist Church in evergreen Park, Ill. after their marriage, they continued to live and work in madison, where they raised their 4 children: marcia, david, Gary, and Karen. Karl died in 1980 of leukemia. Shortly after, Carol met Joseph (Joe) abernathy.

They married in 1983, and lived in middleton, until 1988, when they sold the house and traveled the u.S. full time in a motorhome. after 10 years they settled down in a home in Sun City West, ariz. where they lived comfortably until Joe died in 2009. Carol continued to live in arizona until 2018 when she chose to move to Portland, ore.

to be closer to family. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and elsa Collins; an unnamed sister; her first husband Karl Leemkuil; her first daugh- ter marcia (Leemkuil) Lozano; her second husband Joseph abernathy; son-in-law adrian Lozano; and her special friend rusty. Surviving are her two sons, david Leemkuil of Cottage Grove, Wis, Gary Leemkuil of Stoughton, her daughter Karen (Greg) Smith of Portland, 3 grandchildren Karlos (miranda) Lozano, elsa Smith, and vivienne Smith; 3 great-grandchildren; and 3 step-daughters, bonnie, veryl, and valerie, and their families. a celebration of life will be planned for the summer of 2020 in madison, Wis. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Karl Leemkuil Scholarship fund in the bacteriology department at the university of Wisconsin-madison; ovarian cancer research, the alz- association, or the disease Foundation.

In passing Carol wished to share these words: I have lived a good life. I praise God for country, health, wonderful parents, 2 loving husbands, 4 wonderful children, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, my step-daughters, extended family and many helpful, loving friends. Care Center. She was born on June 24, 1924, in madison, the daughter of andrea and angelina (alfano) diPiazza. anna retired from the american Cancer Society, where she worked as a mail room supervi- sor for many years. anna is survived by her daugh- ter, maria Felland; grandchildren, Christian Felland, nate Gedko, Teresa Gedko, and maston Gedko, great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and the family of rob- ert merrigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; special friend, robert merrigan; and siblings, Te- resa, Laura, Joe, Frank, anna, Sam and Tom.

20, 2019, at his home. He was born on June 6, 1962, in madison, the son of dave and do- lores (Ludwig) arndt. brad committed his whole life to being a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He had a heart of gold and an infectious smile that would light up any room that he walked into. He had a sense of humor that would get the whole room laughing.

brad was always up for an adventure, but if there was a coupon, discount or it was free he was definitely there. His dedication to helping others was honored by receiving the red Cross Hero of The year for saving life as well as volunteering his time at the food pantry weekly. He was a diehard fan of the Packers, badgers, and his home town team the deForest norskies. Some of his accomplishments and interests were cross country and track, eagle Scout, karaoke, theater, music, rafting, and the wilderness. brad graduated from deForest High School in 1980 and went on to earn his degree from Winona State university.

brad had his own radio show there and was the student body president. He went on to be a sportscaster and exceptional salesman. He is survived by his mother, dolores; his children, brittney, Chel- sia and austin (Haylee mcGarvey) arndt; grandchildren, broden arndt and aralynn, breeja and Kaib Simkin; brothers, brice (Kristi) and blair (Jen) arndt; as well his beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, dave and his grandparents. a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m.

on Tuesday, nov. 26, 2019 at ryan FuneraL Home, Chapel, 6924 Lake road, with rev. Charles brandt officiating. visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born in mason City, Iowa on June 27, 1938, the son of marvin and Louise balfour.

raymond earned both b.S. and m.S. degrees in Civil engineering from the university of nebraska, an mba from Temple university, and a J.d. from Cornell university. He met the love of his life, Sandra Goodell, while they were both students at the university of nebraska.

They moved to Ithaca, n.y., where their first son, bryan, was born while raymond was in law school at Cornell uni- versity. Kevin and Carter were born while raymond and Sandra lived in Philadelphia. The family moved to madison in 1979. raymond worked for the majority of his career as an attorney for rayovac Corporation. He enjoyed golf and watching badgers and Corn- huskers sports.

He and Sandra share a passion for international travel and and traveled the globe many times over. Together, they made many lifetime friendships with people from all corners of the world. While in madison, they loved playing bridge with close friends. raymond is survived by his wife, Sandra balfour; sons, bryan bal- four, his wife, mary beth Cishek, and their sons, Jack and andrew, Kevin balfour and his son, Tristan, and Carter balfour, his wife, Holly balfour, and their children, adeline, oliver and Phoebe; and by his brother, bill balfour. He was preceded in death by his parents, marvin and maude balfour and Louise bluhm.

L. baumann, age 77, passed away on Saturday, november 16, 2019. She was born on march 30, 1942 in Hamburg, Wis. to Helmuth and erna (Hass) Haehlke. She was born on may 20, 1957, to the late robert and Suzanne ryden. nancy spent her childhood in Connecticut and neenah, Wis.

She received a degree from beloit College and a graduate de- gree in anthropology from the university of Wisconsin-milwaukee. Her marriage to robert birmingham took place in milwaukee on July 21, 1984, and the couple moved to madison in 1986. nancy worked in the administration office of the overture Center for the arts in madison for 15 years. nancy enjoyed gardening, vacations with friends and family, and her annual solo trips throughout the united States on her Harley davidson motorcycle. nancy was also a voracious reader, consuming several books each week, especially novels.

among her reading favorites were the Patrick novel series on the british royal navy and histories of early expeditions to the arctic and antarctic. nancy is survived by her husband, robert; her son, Kevin; stepchil- dren, Jennifer and robert; sister, barbara; and brother, Kent. a gathering of family and friends in honor of nancy will be held at the birmingham house in madison at a future date. family would like to thank the uW Cancer Clinics for valiant efforts to treat illness and agrace Hospice program for the su- perb care that she and her family received both prior and after her death. online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

before moving to madison to attend the university of Wisconsin where she studied to become a nurse. life passion was taking care of people, she first worked at madison General Hospital as a Pedi- atric nurse. She earned her degree in nursing from the univer- sity of Wisconsin, and later taught nursing at her alma mater. She spent the final 23 years of her career in the field of public health at the madison Public Health department, where she was a maternal Child Specialist. mary was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother.

She and dennis were married for 49 years, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She was a loving mother to Jennifer Faulkner (andy) of madison and mike bradley of Seattle, Wash. and she was a proud and loving grandmother to her three beautiful grandchildren, Jack, anna and Isabella. In her retirement, mary spent her time at the family cabin, enjoying the company of her friends on the pier and sitting on the porch listening to the often said this was her favorite place on earth. She loved nature photography, and took many beautiful pictures.

She was also an avid sports loved the badgers and Packers, but mostly she loved to watch her grandkids play sports or listen to them tell her about their mary had an amazing sense of humor, a kind heart that she extended to all, a generous soul and an infectious smile. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, nov. 26 from 4 p.m. -8 p.m. at the Town of verona Town room located at 7769 County Highway Pd.

Brunner, Tom brunner, age 48, of verona, passed away on nov. 19, 2019.

He was born on april 5, 1971, in madison, Wis. Tom graduated from memorial High School in 1989 and graduated from the university of Wisconsin-madison School of busi- ness with a degree in marketing. He thoroughly enjoyed playing football and hockey and was good at both. Tom worked at several jobs and was especially proud of his success in transforming the Copper Grid into the Grid Iron bar entertaining badger fans, family and friends he loved hosting parties both during and after college. He worked for 10 years as a tax consultant and office manager for block in madison and most recently was successfully self-employed in construction.

He was happiest when he was fishing and hunting and being with his friends. He thoroughly enjoyed his dogs Candy and Cody and missed them greatly when they were gone. Tom was outgoing and friendly with a great sense of humor. He loved his family and will be deeply missed. Tom is survived by his parents, neal (Joann) brunner of madison, and elizabeth brunner of madison, his sister, Cathy (bob, Jr.) uecker and their daughter, niece, emily uecker, all of milwaukee, his aunt, bonnie ackerman, of madison, and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.

18, 2019 at uW Hospital. With her were robert, her husband of thirty-four years, and a small group of family and friends. miriam was born aug. 20, 1953 in Springfield, the daughter of Habet m. and mary e.

Khelghatian. She graduated from Springfield HS in 1971 and from Juniata College in 1976 (ba French and psychology). In 1985, miriam married robert olaf Coberly of madison where she lived until her passing. miriam loved Jesus, her husband, family, friends and pets. She loved children and working in daycare where her special gift was quieting the infants and toddlers.

miriam loved the Impressionists, barbara Streisand, edith Piaf and Christian music. She created many paintings and cards, and wrote poetry. faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life, inspiring her to help others and sustaining her through hard times. She was a devoted member of Fountain of Life Covenant Church in madison. miriam is survived by her husband, robert, of madison; her sister, mar- guerite (Khelghatian) Suh of naperville, her brother, John Khelghatian of Waukegan, three nephews, Steven Suh of naperville, david Suh of Park ridge, and nathan Suh of Chicago, Ill.

miriam was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, ruth ellen (Khelghatian) Foschini. a service of remembrance and praise will take place at Fountain of Life Covenant Church, 633 West badger road, madison at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, nov. 29, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. following the service, all are invited to share a meal in memory of miriam.

He served overseas as a sergeant in the army during World War II. upon returning to the u.S., he was employed for 27 years as a police detective with the madison Police department. He was married to vivian Hollenbeck in 1946. bob is survived by his children rick Ferris and Patty (mike) Lowry; and grandchildren, dan Lowry, erin Lowry, Caitlin Ferris and matthew Ferris.
