anderson age 73, of Mount died on Monday, March 19, 2018, at agrace hospicecare in Fitchburg. he was born on Jan. 27, 1945, to clifford and alma (holcomb) ander- son. after Juanita Margaret Mcder- mott asked Walter to marry her, they wed on June 27, 1964. On aug.

21, 1981, Juanita and Walter opened the Bar and Grill in Mount Vernon. They made everyone at the bar feel at home with home cooked meals; everyone became family. They will forever be in our hearts, and their voice will forever be in our minds as we hear voice The bar was sold on april 1, 2002. Juanita died on Nov. 12, 2016.

Walter anderson was a teacher, a mentor, a friend and a father. he taught everyone something even if it was what not to do. he would say, too dangerous for you to go do, go do it and then head off to do whatever it was to protect everyone else from you could ask him, you like to go out for and he would say, you he always had such as zest for life. Whether he was cutting wood or entertaining people at the bar, he always had a smile and a good story close-at-hand for anyone. he was up to almost any challenge life threw at him even though sometimes it backfired.

he loved his family with all his heart. When we were young, we were taught not to talk to strangers but there were no strangers to Wally. he would strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere. If you were in the mood for a card game, he was happy to sit down and play. When it came to work, no one would put more effort into it than him.

he was a member of Perry Lutheran church in daleyville, Wis. survivors include his children, Bobbie Lynn (scott) strohbusch of da- leyville, Jackie Lynn anderson of Fond du Lac, and Walter dean (heather) anderson Jr. of daleyville; seven grandchildren, Brittany Lynn (Patrick) Beeman, rebecca Lynn (Naeem) Trainor, annika schultz, samantha Lynn (alex) strohbusch, Paige Nicole (Bryan) anderson, charles Todd ander- son, and scott; two great-grandchildren, andrew and Natalia; brother, Mike (cecelia) Phillips of cross Plains; a sister, Wanda (friend, douglas) Phillips of Mount horeb; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob Ihm, Joanne hollis, Janice schulz, Judi Baker, Ian campbell, June Frick, Bob (Kathy) Mcdermott, and ron (diane) Mcdermott; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. he was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his grandsons, anthony and Wesley Long; a brother, Leroy Phillips; a sister, Judy Phil- lips; his nephew, adam Phillips; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jane campbell, Joyce McIntyre, roger Mcdermott; david hollis, Gerald schulz, Fred Baker, John Frick; Jeanette (Bob) Mccullick, and Jeraldine Ihm. www.camachofuneralhomes.com Berg, Roy Albert the age of 90, af- ter a full, productive life, roy albert Berg, passed peacefully away in Madison, on March 16, 2018. he is survived by his dearly beloved wife of 67 years, dorothy dahlberg Berg, and his daughters from Maryland, Ellen Marie Berg and christine doro- thy Berg. additionally, he is survived by his son-in-law, cyril W. draffin and his devoted grandchildren, Eme- lia and Mora Gold and William and Benjamin draffin. roy was born in chicago on sept.

25, 1927, and worked as an actuary and vice-president at Old republic Insurance company in chicago and american Family Insurance in Madi- son. he valued his Norwegian roots. he learned Norwegian as an adult and obtained a degree in scandinavian studies in his he belonged to the ygdrasil Literary society and the Torske Klubben in Madison. another passion was chess which gained him membership in The cliff dwellers in chicago at which he served a term as president. he also belonged to the cosmos club in Washington, d.c., and served as first board of their chess team.

he traveled internationally for the club, winning in Paris and London. also, he was the only team member to have a draw while the others lost against the capablanca chess club in havana, cuba. he was predeceased by his son, Eric Martin Berg. Washington Madison (608) 249-6666 Breitlow, Leona L. L. Breitlow, age 93, of algoma, passed away Tues- day, March 20, 2018, at Oak creek assisted Living. she was born sept. 18, 1924, in Kewaunee, to Walter and alma (hanamann) siegmund.

Leona graduated from the Im- manuel Lutheran Grade school and the Kewaunee high school in 1941. Leona met Glenway Breitlow before he entered the u.s. army. after he returned home they were married in Kewaunee on sept. 21, 1946, and started farming on the farm that Glenway bought before going into the u.s.

army. Leona enjoyed her life on the farm working side by side with Gl- enway. They were always together. she loved her time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoyed gardening, canning, playing cards, bingo and sewing. she was an avid Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan.

she was a member of st. Lutheran church, Ladies aid and was on the Kewaunee county Farm Bureau Wom- committee. Leona is survived by her six children, Janice (arnie) Mueller, carol (Nelson) Wendricks, Nancy (richard) Ledvina, Gary (Mary) Breitlow, Ellen (Mark) Mertens and sherrie (duane) Fameree; 16 grandchildren, Mark (rhonda) Wendricks, Brian (Kristi) Wendricks, Paul (shannon) Wendricks, Julie (Tom) Walsh, Jeff (Trish) Mueller, andy (Erin) Mueller, Jim (Katie) Mueller, chad (char) Ledvina, alan Ledvina, Bart (cheri) Ledvina, Jennifer (Michael) Kaufmann, Missy (Kevin) Fleischman, Mike Mertens, dwight (sara) Fameree, derrick (cassie) Fameree and stacie (scott) Jeanquart; 27 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marion Gaedtke and sandy (art) schweiner; one brother, Lyle (Lois) siegmund; two sisters-in-law, ruth siegmund and Lois siegmund; many nieces and nephews. Clasen, Professor Robert E. clasen, born Feb 27, 1934, left his time on earth March 17, 2018.

he was born to al- bert and ruth clasen in south Mil- waukee. he was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joy (chuck); a brother, albert; and his brothers- in-law, david and Les. he is survived by his loving wife, donna rae; and devoted son, douglas. he will be remembered by his brothers, Lee (Nancy) and don (susan); his sisters, rae and Mary ruth; his sister-in-law, Jean; along with family and friends from the university, the neighbor- hood and extensive world travel. he attained his Ph.d.

from uW-Madison and started his pro- fessional life teaching in the Mil- waukee schools. he later joined the Ford Foundation where he worked in Venezuela and spain, serving as a consultant and framer of curriculum. Bob was a visionary. he introduced head start schools to Madison, believing in the impact they might have preparing children of more limited resources for future schooling. One of his beloved projects was college For Kids providing students early introductions to professors and college opportunities.

Working with Professor Philip Lambert, they developed a program existing for over 25 years. With the help of a group of dane county teachers and educators, Bob also helped create the dane county haiku Project to introduce fourth graders to haiku poetry. Bob was a musician, writer of music and poetry. as he liked to say, kept my country free with my French horn in the army band in Tokyo, When asked if he would develop a youth choir for camp youth, his reaction was, no. never even been in a The choir was a winner, and on a flatbed truck the group helped all celebrate holidays, and special events.

Bob impacted many students, colleagues and friends. he leaves a void that will affect all who knew and loved him. a visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018, at crEss FuNEraL hOME, 3610 speedway road, Madison.

ron was a lifelong runner, com- peting in numerous long distance races and area fun runs. he loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed run- ning and biking the Glacial drumlin state Trail. he also enjoyed traveling and visiting national parks. he had many happy trips visiting his daugh- ter and exploring the san Jose, Mon- terey, and san Francisco areas. ron worked for 20 years for Fish Building supply and 17 years for the city of Madison streets department.

sandra graduated in 1960 from Edgerton high school. she received a bache- degree and a degree from uW-Whitewater. sandra mar- ried Paul d. schneider on July 3, 1965. she taught in various schools, both in the Madison and rockford areas and had also worked at the rock county Juvenile detention cen- ter.

she was a member of st. Mark Lutheran church. sandra schneider is survived by her husband, Paul; three sisters, sarah (Mike) cornett, sonya (dan) clumpher, and sue (Tom) Miller; one brother, Tom (Barbara) ahrensmeyer; her children, Kent (Michelle) schneider, Kurt schneider, and Karol (Paul) Norland; and her grand- children, Kraig schneider, cal schneider, Karyssa Norland and Kayleigh Norland. her parents preceded her in death.
