Curt was born the son of Paul Giering and Margaret Siebecker Giering on May 10.

1943 He was raised by Margaret and Albert Jahn Curt attended and graduated from Baraboo Public Schools, graduating in 1961 He attended Naval ROTC and the University of Wisconsin, and in 1966 received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree He was commissioned at Ensign in the US Navy and served as a Naval Aviator. Richard was born in Madison, son of Edwin and Wilhelmina Brockman He graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1947.

After several years, Richard found a love for real estate, serving on numerous committees including The Greater Madison Board of Realtors as well as South Central Wisconsin. He was in the Real Estate business for more than 50 years. He was greatly appreciated by his customers ana all those who worked with him.
