Moore, Detroit, and the late Mr. Moore. Mrs. Stratton and her son, Thomas W. Pierce, plan to leave for Safl Francisco in mid-December to attend the wedding on Dee.

Partyers Move on Northwestern, With Team Laiv Ball Keeps Campus From Social Darkness I By JANE JOHANNSEN The campus crowd will be doing a lot of partying this weekend, but the Madisonites will be doing their on other stamping grounds. After a Homecoming that pot even rain nor defeat could dampen, the campus is expecting to move en masse to Evanston for the Northwestem-Wisconsin weekend, a gala weekend every year. Northwestern parties promise excitement for the adgers, as the datad and dateless descend upon friends, friends of the family, 'and fraternity and sorority brothers and sisters. The Badgers expect to be treated to a sophisticated NWU weekend, and will undoubtedly get it.

GALA EVENT this weekend on our campus is the annual Law Ball. Under the chairmanship of Joseph Kucirek, third year law student, and the sponsorshir of the Law School Association, the will be lawyers and their dates will join the faculty in an informal fling. Dancing from 9 to 12 will bei to the Bill Traut dance band at the East Side Business Mens Club. Kran.mers Dixie will be featured in the lounge. Chaperons for the evening will include Prof, and Mrs.

Howard Hall, 1506 Wood Prof, and Mrs. Charles Oldfather, University of Kansas, Prof, and Mrs. Jaro Mayda, 511 W. Wilson and Prof, and Mrs. August Eckhardt, 721 Chapman St.

Prof. Oldfather, a visiting professor of law from KU, will provide entertainment at the dance. He plays the guitar and sings ballads and folksongs. Committee chairmen for the Law Ball are: Robert Downing, Madison, band; Lyle Schauer, Jefferson, tickets and invitations; Hartman Axley, Ft. Atkinson, and H.

Lowell Hall, Madison, Skit; Robert Warren, Sturgeon Bay, and Ken Bensen, DeForest, posters; and Earl Hagen, Madison, publicity. Lowell Hall is the son of Prof, and Mrs. Howard Hall. Every year girls outside of the law school are asked to visit the law classes with a skit to promote the dance. This years girls were Mary Davidson and Paula Nelsen, both of Highland Park, Connie Whitefish Bay, and Barbara Dennis, Wauwatosa.

The girls are pledges of Kappa Alpha Theta. Their skit is a take-off on Take Me Out To The Ball Game. Its called Take Me Out to the Law Ball. EXCHANGE DINNERS, listening parties, and informal Saturday night parties are scheduled by a few houses for the partying few left on campus. Friday night buffet suppers are planned by: Alpha Chi Rho and Alpha Chi Omega; Delta Tau Delta and Gamma Phi Beta; Delta Sigma Pi and Chi Omega; and Acacia and Alpha Gamma Delta.

Psi Upsilon, Chi Psi, Gamma Phi Beta, and Delta Gamma will listen to the game together on Saturday afternoon at the Psi house. Mr. and Mrs. John Weston, 118 Cambridge will chaperon. Other listening parties will be held at Pi Kappa Alpha with the girls of Alpha Xi Delta; at Phi Kappa with the Alpha Gamma Deltas and Tau Kappa Epsilons; at Theta Chi with their dates; and Acacia with Kappa Delta.

Saturday evening informal parties will be held at Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Delta Tau Delta, Delta Sigma Pi, Kappa Sigma, and Oschner House. Capt. and Mrs. Richard Oldham, 2402 Darwin will be chaperons at Oschner House; and Mr. and Mrs.

Jerome Hast-rich, vicar general, diocese of Madison; the Rev. Edward B. Auchter, Westport, and the Rev Leo Rummell, Norbertine novitiate. Mrs. Philip Gersbach, accompanied by Miss Olive Endres, will vocal selections.

Miss Elizabeth Statz will present cello solos. The Court Madison Chorus, directed by Miss Statz and accompanied by Miss Cora Enders, will sing choral numbers. Dinner ensemble music will be played by Misses Olive and Marie Endres, and Miss Rev. Mr. Lehman will give the benediction.

Girl Scouts Receive Card from White House MEMBERS OF GIRL SCOUT TROOP No. 165 will probably receive many thank you notes during their lifetimes, but the one that will always be vivid in their memories is the engraved card they were sent from the White House in acknowledgement of the birthday greeting they made and sent to President Eisenhower.

When the troop met Saturday at Longfellow School, they -were presented with the official card from the nations capital by their leader, Mrs. C. E. Vauk. A wishbone dipped in aluminum paint was tied by green and yellow (Girl Scout colors) ribbons to the cover of the card which the girls sent to the President for his birthday Oct; 14.

Over the wishbone was the Girl Scout insignia. On the inside of the card there was a picture of tile troop and their names were written below.
