He was born on November 9, 1924 In Monroe, Wisconsin. He was a Madison resident most of his life, and was employed by Oscar Mayer for 35 years. He served In World War and the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge on October 6, 1953. He was active In the American Legion Post 481. He Is survived by his wife.

Lory; a daughter, Susan (James) Weber of Oregon, Wisconsin; a son, Donald (Rosemary) Wenger of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin; a granddaughter, Stacy Weber; two brothers, Wilbert Wenger of Middleton, Wisconsin and Fred Wenger of Monroe; and a sister, Clare Wlnnlger of Monroe. Yarwood, Faye JANESVILLEBROOKLYN Faye Yarwood, age 94, of Janesville, formerly of Brooklyn, died on Tuesday, January 5, 1993 at a Janesville Nursing Home.

She was born on October 8, 1898, the daughter of Edward and Mabel Waller. Faye was a member of Mount Zion Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Lotus Smith of Janesville; a daughter-in-law, Gladys Yarwood of Baxter, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Marcy (Tim) Weber, Kelly (Doug) Paape, Alan Yarwood, Connie (Gene) Nelson, and Julie Welllver; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Myrl Wessel of South Beloit, Illinois; and a brother, Arlelgh Waller of Janesville. She was preceded In death by her husband, Archie; and a son, Charles.

Funeral services will be held at the BOOTH-GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Drive, Oregon at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 1993 with Reverend Mel Henrlchs officiating. Prestigiacomo, Gabrielle Rose Welfare Director during the mid-1980s. His last position was that of Recycling Director In 1990. Survivors Include his wife, Audrey; step-children, Bruce and Cathy Freeman of Cicero, Indiana, Linda and Tom Monty of Sandy, Utah, Leesa and Steve Barton of Florissant, Missouri; a brother Gene and Evelyn Orvis of Madison; seven grandchildren, and many special family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service In celebration of Jim's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 9, 1993, at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace In Sun Prairie.

In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association. The family Is especially grateful to the staff of City View Nursing Home for their dedicated care. He was born on January 20, 1954, In Madison, the son of Charles and Edith Runstrom Schultz. Survivors Include his mother, Edith Schultz of Arizona; a sister, Jessica Runstrom of Madison; a brother, William Scott Askey of Minnesota; and his grandmother, Melvlna Brown of Madison. He was preceded In death by his father. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, with The Reverend Peter Jonas officiating.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. Schultz, Wallie MONONA Wallie C. Schultz, age 86, of Monona, died on Monday, January 4, 1993 in a Madison nursing home. He was born on January 21, 1906 in Cllntonville, Wisconsin, to William and Ida Schultz, who resided In Horlcon, Wisconsin.

On June 8, 1928, he married the former Florence L. Krueger In Cambria. Until his retirement in 1966, Mr. Schultz was a maintenance man at the Nichols School in Monona. Survivors, in addition to his wife.

Include two daughters, Audrey (Tom) Mader of Irvine, California, and Marlene Nelson of Madison; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two nephews; a niece; and many friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 8, 1993 at 7:30 p.m. at the KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, 4545 East Buckeye Road. Christopher V. Petit, an elder with the Monona congregation, will deliver the memorial address.

The RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 North Sherman Avenue, Is serving the family. Stuessy, Mrs. Margaret NEW GLARUS Mrs. Margaret Stuessy, age 82, of New Glarus, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 1993 at her home. The former Margaret Affolter was born on January 7, 1910 in Switzerland.

The daughter of Fred and Louisa Brandt Affolter, Margaret came to this country at the age of five with her family. On February 23, 1928, she was united in marriage to Henry J. Stuessy. Margaret and Henry operated the 4-Corners In New Glarus for many years. She was a member of the Swiss United Church of Christ In New Glarus.

Survivors Include a daughter, Doris (Richard) Jacobson of Rockford, nols; three grandchildren, Jon (Wendy) Argue, Marcia Crawford, and Thomas Argue; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, John (Nita) Affolter of Judo; and her sisters, Gertrude Anderson of Monroe, Sophie (Robert) Kleckler of McConnell, Bombard, Calvin E. SPENCER Calvin E. Bom-rbord, oge 60, died on Monday, January 4, 1993 at St. Joseph's Hospital In Marshfield, Wisconsin. He was born on February 29, 1932 In Loyal, Wisconsin.

He married Gall Edblom on May 16, 1953. He graduated from Spencer High School. He farmed at Route 1, Loyal, from 1955 until 1964. He was then with the Wisconsin Capitol Police, serving at the university and at the Capitol In Madison, retiring In 1986, when he moved back to Spencer. Calvin served In the U.S.

Army from 1953 until 1955, serving In Korea, Japan, and as an Honor Guard at the Pentagon In Washington D.C. He was also a member of the Unity American Legion, the Marshfield Sportsman Club, as member of the Spencer Lions Club, and the Spencer United Methodist Church. Survivors Include his wife, Gall; two sons, David Bombard of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and Scott Bombard of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Mrs. Lisa (Dana) Loveless of Tuscon, Arizona; nine grandchildren; a brother. Dale Bombard of Spencer, and a sister, Mrs.

Charlotte (Allen) Michael, of Rockford, Illinois. Funeral services will be on Friday, January 8, 1993 at 11:00 AM at the SPENCER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. (nee Schoonover) Cottington, age ,90, of Burlington passed away on January 4, 1993 In Reedsburg Hospital. She is survived by a brother and sls- ter in law Arlan and Adeline Cottington of DeForest; a special niece, Donna (Marvin) Reesman, of Burlington; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. MCCARTHY-KOENIG FUNERAL HOME, 101 East State Street, Burlington Is taking care of arrangements; Ferguson, Kenneth Stewart RICHLAND CENTER Kenneth Stewart Ferguson, age 68, of Richland Center, died on Tuesday, January 5, 1993, at the Richland Hospital after a lingering Illness. He was the son of Walter and Freda (Stewart) Ferguson, born In Richland Center on June 17, 1924. He graduated from the Richland Center High School and attended U.W.

Agriculture Short Course In 1947-1948. He was married to Ariel Truesdale on December 3, 1950, they farmed in the town of Bloom for 18 years. Because of health problems they moved from the farm and after short periods of employment with Wes Haug Construction, Rockbridge Cheese Factory, Richland School System, he was employed by the Richland Medical Center Ltd. for 17 years as maintenance man. He enjoyed his work there and made many friends among the staff and patients, retiring In 1986.

He was an active member of Peace United Methodist Church, Richland Center Lions Club, and the Richland Ramblers Camping Club. Survivors Include his wife, Ariel Ferguson of Richland Center; two daughters, Ellen (James) Guse of Mayvllle, Wisconsin, and Ruth (Rodney) Pierce of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; a grandson, Paul Guse; two granddaughters, Beth Guse, and Laura Pierce; a sister, Joyce (Robert) Weiland of Sacramento, California; a brother-in-law, Keith Truesdale of Richland Center; a sister-in-law, Gyneth Rinehart of Richland Center; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded In death by his parents. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 1993, at the PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Richland Center, with burial In the Woodstock Cemetery.

PRATT FUNERAL SERVICE Is assisting the family Gerber, Lena MADISON Lena Gerber, age 97, of 1529 Pleasure Drive, died on January 5, 1993 at a local nursing home. She was born on December 21, 1895 In Mount Vernon, Wisconsin, the daughter of Matthals and Suzanna (Schmidt) Marty. She was a Madison area resident since 1919. She married Fred Gerber on February 8, 1917. She was on active and faithful member of Memorial United Church of Christ Fitchburg, where she taught Sunday school for 31 years.

She was chairman of the Social Service group. Lena and her husband served as church treasurers for 18 years. Survivors Include two daughter, Delma Brenslke and Doris Hoppe, both of Madison; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and four great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; two grandchildren; six sisters and six brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m.

Frances Spencer MADISONPLANO, TEXAS Mrs. Frances Spencer Grasshoff, age 90, a longtime resident of Madison, died In Plano, Texas on Monday, January 4, 1993. She was the daughter of Edward T. Spencer and Mary (Kurt) Spencer. She and her twin sister were born on December 7, 1902.

For three years, she resided In a nursing home In a suite with her twin sister Florence Bom. Frances was a legal secretary for 30 years with the former law firm of Bagley, Spohn, Ross Stevens. Her sisters Florence and Marie also worked for this law firm. She married Albert F. Grasshoff on May 25, 1940.

He operated the White Grocery on University Avenue for many years. Her husband died on February 16, 1984 at the age of 83. She Is survived by her twin sister, Florence Born, of Plano, Texas; her brother, Arnold J. Spencer, of Madison, and three nieces, Mary Louise Born, of Sherman, Texas, Roberto Sechovec, of Plano, Texas, and Mary Elizabeth Berry, of Milwaukee. She is preceded In death by her parents; two brothers, Edward and William; a sister, Marie Martin.

Funeral services Lincicum, Clara H. MADISON Clara H. Lincicum, oge 66, of Madison went to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 5, 1993 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 28, 1926 In Genoa, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late William and Agnes Pedrettl. She had worked at Leske's, Daltons 77 and Colonial Inn for many years.

She was a member of Saint Dennis Catholic Church and the Missionary Association. She Is survived by four daughters, Linda (Curt) Johnson, of Fishers, Indiana, Karen (James) Corbett, of Madison, Bonnie Lincicum, of Madison, and Kathy (Dan) Sturz, of Greenwood, Wisconsin; four sons, Mike Lincicum, of Madison, Gary Lincicum, of Hawaii, Robby Lincicum, of Madison, and Tom (Merry) Lincicum, of Madison; 11 grandchildren, and 12 brothers and sisters, Agnes Dahl, of Racine, Ann Reindle, of Canada, Bernard (Darlene) Pedrettl, of Prairie Du Chlen, Dolores (John) Moore, of South Dakota, Joe (Mary Lou) Pedrettl, of Iowa, Marge Pedrettl, of Milwaukee, Joanne (Gus) Tauges, of Fond Du Lac, William Pedrettl, of Genoa, Mary Jane (David) Waite, of Prairie du Chlen, Dan (Joanne) Pedrettl, of La Crosse, Michael (Nancy) Pedrettl, of Philadelphia, and Leo (Ellen) Pedrettl, of California. McCartney, age 58, of Madison, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 2, 1993, while vacationing In Tylertown, Mississippi. He was born on April 19, 1934, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was the Director of Dane County Human Services from 1971 until 1989.

He was a member of the United States Army. He was a LAUREL, MARYLAND Gabrielle Rose Prestigiacomo, age 2'i, died on January 1, 1993 at her home. She was born on July 16, 1990 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Tom and Laura (Brinkmeier) Prestigiacomo. She Is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Joanne and John Acomb, of Beloit, Wisconsin, Donald and Carol Brinkmeier, of Madison, and paternal grandparents, Sam and Shirley Prestigiacomo, of Madison; great grandparents, Alphonse and Florence Alt, Verna Acomb, Betty Leach and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Orvis, James E. FgfSUN PRAIRIE James E. .1 Orvis, age 69, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 1992 In a Madison nursing home. He was born In Madison on May 16, 1923, the son of Harvey and Henrietta (Gilbert) Orvis. Jim attended Madison East High School until he enlisted In the U.S.

Navy In 1941. He served on board the U.S.S. Enterprise and was at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He served both in the U.S. Navy and Air Force for a total of 22 years.

He retired In 1963. He was united In marriage to Audrey L. (Herlng) Freeman In 1965. Jim was a loving step-father to her three children. He will be remembered for his service to the City of Sun Prairie, as a police, officer from 1970 until 1980, and also as the Zapotocny, Gertrude COLUMBUS Gertrude Zapotocny, age 73, died on January 5, 1993 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be on Friday, January 8, 1993, at 2:00 PM at ZION EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Columbus, with Reverend G. F. Cares and Reverend Robert Wilke officiating.
