Stoddard. 77, of 304 New Castle Way, Maple Bluff, a prominent Madison and vicinity builder and realtor before his retirement in 1969, died Monday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was a graduate of the University here. Mr.

Stoddard had built some 500 homes in Madison and this area during his business career. In earlier years he taught school for 17 years, including periods as a teacher at Fennimore and at old Wisconsin High School here and old Madison Central High School. A native of Dunn County, he came to Madison in 1920. Richard, Alfred BLUE MOUNDS Alfred Richard, age 89, of Madison, formerly of Blue Mounds, died on Monday, July 8, 1974, at a Modi son hospttoi, after a long Illness. Born at Bern, Switzerland on May 8, 1885, he came to the United States as a young man.

He was a cheesemaker in his early years, and later was In the gas ond oil business In Blue Mounds. He was married to the former Anna Gutman. She preceded him In death In 1925. He then married the former Anna Schmid. She died In 1963.

Mr. Richard was a member of Zwtngli United Church of Christ, Mt. Vernon. Survivors include a son, John, rural Barneveld; four daughters, Mrs. Henry Aebly Belleville, Mrs.

Helen Holder, Madison, Mrs. Olga Nussman, Nokomis, Illinois, Mrs. Francis Rauls, Bowling Green, Kentucky; two brothers Werner, Oregon, Albert, Mon-ticello; two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Kubly, Watertown, Mrs. Ulrich Furrer, Verona; 22 grondchlldren, 33 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grondchH-dren.

Funeral services will be held at ZWINGLI UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, The Rev. Terrance Williams officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. Friends may call after 7 p.m.

Burnet, VA Hospital Associate, Dies Ht Dr. George H. Burnett, of 1421 W. Skyline associate chief of at the Veterans Administra-' tion Hospital here, where he was also assistant chief of the pulmonary disease section, died Monday in a local hospital. He was also a clinical associate professor at the University here, A World Warr II veteran.

Dr. Burnett was a Boy Scout leader, and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Carmen Hommendahl, and three sons. The Frautschi Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway is in charge of arrangements. Funeral rites will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Surviving is his wife, the former Emma Martin. East Highs Class of 69 Sets Reunion Members of Madison East High Schools class of 1969 will hold their five-year reunion Saturday at the East Side Businessmens Club, 3735 Monona Drive. Olson, John T. CUMBERLAND John T. Olson, age 38, formerly of Madison, died on Monday, July 1, 1974, in an accident on his farm. He was born April 11, 1932, in Madison. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; three sons, Jav, Joel, and John, all of Cumberland; his mother, Mrs.

Stensvod, Alma M. STOUGHTON Miss Alma Stensvod, age 82, of Roufe 5, Stoughton, died on Monday, July 8, 1974, at the Stoughton Hospital. Born August 30, 1891 at Stoughton, she was the doughter of the tote Mr. and Mrs. H.

G. Stensvod, a graduate of Milwaukee Normal School, and was a kindergarten teacher in Milwaukee for many years. She refired about 15 years ago to Stoughton where she made her home with her sister. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the ALCW, Circle Number 7, the Stoughton Hospital Auxiliary, ond the Retired Teachers' Association. Survivors include a sister, Mrs.

on Wednes- Bakke, Westye F. MADISON Westve F. Bakke, oge B1, of 4818 Odana Road, died on Sunday, July 7, 1974, at a local hospital after a brief Illness. Born in Superior, Mr. Bakke was married to the former Mary Lee Clark in Rice Lake, Wi.

He had been a Madison resident for the post 48 years. He was the founder of the Sub Zero Freezer Company, in 1944. At the present time he was the Chairman of the Board. He was a veteran of WWI, and a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Lawrence of Madison; a daughter, Elaine McDonald also of Madison; two brothers, Charles of Turlock, and John of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs.

Wilma Parker of Turlock, Mrs. Marie Frederickson of Palm Springs, and Mrs. Ruth Flyflet, also of Turlock, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at FRAUTSCHI FUNERAL HOME, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, The Rev.

Burnett, Dr. George H. MADISON Dr. George H. Burnett, of 1421 W.

Skyline Drive, died on Monday, July 8, 1974, at a Madison hospital. Dr. Burnett was the Associate Chief of Staff and Assistant Chief of the Pulmonary Disease Section at VA Hospital, and Clinical Associate Professor in the Dept, of Medicine at the Univ. of Wisconsin. The son of Dr.

and Mrs. W. B. Burnett was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. He graduated from Rome, Georgia High School.

Prior to World War II service in the Pacific, he attended Oberlin College. He completed his PhD in Biochemistry at the Univ. of Illinois and received his MD from The University of Chicago. He was married to the former Carmen Hommedahl. He was active in Boy Scouts and was Scout Master of Troop 8.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a Colonel in the Army Reserves, 44th General Hospital. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Stephen, James, and Mark at home; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. W. B.

Burnett of Cedartown, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. R. L. Amstrong of Pensicola, Mrs. Jack Morrison of Piedmont, and a brother, John E.

STOUGHTON Mrs. Alvin T. Gunderson, age 56, of Edgerton, died on Monday, July 8, 1974, of her home of an ooparent heart attack. The former Mabel A. Giertson was born Dec.

6, 1917 at Stoughton. She married Alvin on Nov. 7, 1939. Together they farmed in the Edgerton ond Stoughton areas until retiring to Edgerton in 1968. Mrs.

Gunderson was a member of the East Koshkonong Lutheran Church and the women of the church. Survivors Include her husband; two sons, Gordon of Edgerton and Richard of Fort Atkinson; three grandchildren; and a brother, Clarence, of Stoughton. Born October 20, 1922, in the town of Windsor, she was the former Ida Bakken, and married Bert Johnson in 1942. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Lakeview Lutheran Church. of San Diego, Robert, Jim, and Ken, all of Madison; two daughters, Mrs. Pat Fietcher and Betty Johnson, both of Madison; three brothers, Theo Bakken, Reedsburg, Leonard Bakken, Ft.
