The lake is suffering from silta-tion, which is making the popular swimming and fishing spot increasingly shallow. The new party also hopes to take an important role in planning a local celebration commemorating the 20th anniversary of Earth Day next April.

He was born on October 21, 1915, In the Town of Oregon, and was a retired employee with the Universf--ty of Wisconsin. Bill married the former Lucille Putts on April 23, 1941, In Dubuque, Iowa, and he was a member of the People's United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wlfe Lucille; two sons, William J. (Barbara) Ace of Oregon, and Robert Ace of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his sister, Betty Ace Of Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Floyd, Emerson ond Robert; and a sister, Jeanette Therkelsen. MCFARLANDBOSCOBEL -Mrs. Marie G. Roseman, age 91, died on Friday, December 22, 1989, In a Madison hospital. She was the former Marie Redmond, born at Boscobel on November 16, 1898, the daughter of William and Anna (Sweeney) Redmond. She married Harry James i Roseman In 1920, and he preceded her in death in 1968.

She was employed at Olson's Dress Shop on State Street in Madison for many years until retiring. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church In McFarland, R.S.V.P. of Madison, and St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are three daughters, Kathryn Carscallen of California, Mary (Richard) Hubanks of McFarland, and Helen (Carl) Nelson of Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday evening, December 26, 1989, at 6:00 p.m. at CHRIST THE KING CATHOLIC CHURCH, with the Reverend Arthur Koth officiating. Burial will be in the Boscobel Cemetery. Visitation only at the church from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
