BLACK EARTH Everett E. Stabnaw, oge 75, passed away on Monday, September 13, 1993, at the Maptewood Nursing Home in Sauk City.

He was born on February 12, 1918, the son of Fred and Margaret (Gudenschwoger) Stabnaw in Willow Township, Richland County. He was married on December 29, 1943, to the former Elizabeth Westedt. He formed In Sauk County, near Hill point, untl 1966. He spent several years as a school bus driver and a landscaper in the Black Earth area He recently retired from his favorite hobby of wood working. Everett belonged to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, in Block Earth.

Survivors include Ms wife, Elizabeth Stabnaw of Black Earth; a daughter, Lois (Ron) Mueller of Ashland; a son, Wayne (Joan) Stabnaw of Neenah; three grandchildren, Christopher, Laurel Ann, and Curtis Mueller, al of Ashland; a sister, Evelyn (Ray) Muchow of Hillpolnt; three nieces, Loetla (Don) Brelght of Reedsburg, Luann (Louis) Hoff of Bison, South Dakota, and Lisa (Pat) Farter of Reedsburg; a special friend, Diane Rose of Black Earth; and other relatives and friends. Ellestad Funeral Home Black Earth, Wl Stevens, Mae Caroline MILFORD, IOWAMADISON Mae Caroline Stevens was born on March 15, 1911 at Mllford, Iowa Her parents were the late George and Charlotte (Funk) Chaffln, of Dutch-Irish background. She attended the public schools through high school at Mllford. Her marriage to Clarence Morgan took place at Arnolds Park, Iowa, on May 31, 1931. They became the parents of a son and three daughters.

Mr. Morgan died of a heart attack when he was 45 years old. Fotowing his death, Moe dd babysitting and housekeeping. She was united In marriage to Charles Stevens on January 19, 1957. He passed away on June 28, 1984.

Following Mr. Steven's death, Moe continued to Ive In Modison, Wisconsin. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church. Mae enjoyed Istening to music, playing cards, reading and watching TV. In Madison she was a faithful church offender and served on the church Library Committee and the Fellowship group.

Since Aprl 28, 1992, she hod been a resident of the Sogge Memorial Good Samaritan Home hi Windom, Minnesota It was there that she passed away on Wednesday morning, September 8, 1993 at the oge of 82 years, 4 months, and 23 days. Preceding her In death, besides her parents and her husbands, was a daughter; five brothers; and a sister. Survivors Include her children and their spouses, Robert and Sandra Morgan of Los Angeles, California, Marilyn and Bl Fitslmmons of BeHevlew, Nebraska, and Dora ond Loren Behrens of Windom, Minnesota; three stepchildren, Ear) and Esther Stevens of Modison, Ralph ond Shirley Johansen of Mad-son, and Edna Moe Roberts of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; 21 grandchildren; 32 oreot-grandchfldren; and four great-great-gronochSdren. Tyler, Lucille REEDSBURG Lucille Tyler, oge 88, former resident of 241 S. Locust St, In Reedsburg, died on Monday, September 13, 1993, at the Edword Snyder Nursing Home In Reedsburg.

She was born on July 18, 1905, In Richland Center, Wisconsin, the beloved daughter of Thomas Scott and Anna Hartman. She resided at Snyder Nursing Home since January of 1993. Lucille was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Church of God, Reedsburg where she was a lifetime member of the missionaries. Lucille was a member of the Reedsburg Area Historical Society for may years.

She Is survived by a son, Raymond Tyler of Mauston; her daughters, Evelyn Janlsch of Reedsburg, Shirley Tobey of Reedsburg, Gloria (Ronald) Cayse of Reedsburg, Betty (Duane) Dor gel of Rockford, lllnols, Marilyn (Jim) Bonn of Lake Delton, Sharon (Steve) Schuett of Lake Delon; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded In death by her husband, Eiwin B. Tyler; her parents; a son, Allen Tyler; a sister, Lula Turner; a brother, Harold Scott; a grandchild; and three great-grandchildren. Zee smart, Gladys E. MADISON Gladys E. Zeasman, oge 101, died on Sunday, September 12, 1993 at St. Mary's Care Center In Modison. She wos born on September-' 4, 1892 In Richland Center, Wisconsin, the daughter of the tote Milton and Mary Andrews.

She graduated from- the University of Wisconsin In 1916, with a Bachelor of Science degree la Home Economics. She also attended the Madison Business College. She- -was married to Otto R. Zeasman on June 21, 1916 ot Christ Presbyterian Church, and Ived the rest of her Ife -In Modison. In her younger years, she -was active In many toed organizations.

Gladys was a very avid bridge player and she had many talents hv numerous areas of creative hand' work. She had a genuine love for Ife. and people. In her 101 years, she has mode a red difference In the Ives of -al those who knew her, and she wil always remain In our hearts. She was preceded In death by her husband, Otto, In September of 1976; and a son, John, in 1940.

She is survived by three sons, Donald (Joanne) of Delavan, Wisconsin, Ira (Jean) of Se- -ottte, Washington, and James (Rosemary) of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin; two daughters, Helen (George) Thok of Modison, ond Mary of Modison; 13 -grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pieper, age 81, died on Saturday, September 11, 1993, at the Sk oaten Sunset Home In Stoughton. He was born on September 5, 1912, in Cottage Grove, the son of Henry and Stella Pieper. Vincent worked as a truck driver for Bkrtz Beer and also worked as a custodian for the University of Wisconsin. He married the former Catherine Dempsey in October of 1939, she preceded him in death In March of 1993. Survivors Include two daughters, Florence Gordon of Boise, Idaho, and Barbara Van Hagan of Oregon, Wisconsin; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several sisters; and nieces and nephews.

VERONA Eileen Schaller died on Tuesday, September 14, 1993, ot a local nursing home. She was born on January 23, 1917, In Alpha, North Dakota She moved to Wisconsin with her family In 1922. Her parents were John S. Schwelgert and Barbara L. Busche.

She was married to William G. Schaller in 1946. They farmed near Poofl, Wisconsin, until she moved to Verona In 1976. She retired from the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation In 1981. She was preceded In death by her husband, William G.

Schaller In 1962; and both of her parents; and her brother. Dr. Bernard Schwelgert. She Is survived by her children, Mary L. Schaller of Verona, William J.

(Terry) Schaller of Portage, James E. (Virginia) Schaller of Stoughton, Donald P. Inez was born on July 30, 1915, In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was a Rfe long resident of Wauwatosa She groduated from Wauwatosa Ugh School where she excelled in athletics and was a Red Arrow girl and from Marquette University. It was while at Marquette that she met the cutest guy on earth, Richard BeSnghausen (Bed), who she was married to until his death on Apr! 27, 1988. hez and Dick enjoyed many things together during their marrloge, especially dancing and sailing on big ships to Europe. It was while they were In her favorite country, Italy, that she became HL Inez was a generous woman, committed to helping those less fortunate than herself. She volunteered much time and energy to her community and especially enjoyed her Involvement with St.

Gal Congregation, the LA.S.C (Lutheran Social Action Commission) Shop, St. Vincent de PouL the Wauwatosa Woman's Club (where she served as president), the Wisconsin Federation of Women's Clubs, the League of Women Voters, the Wauwatosa Pioneers, and the Literary Guild. She Is survived by her sister, Mary Dahlman of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin; her daughters, Judith Mayer of Albany, New York, and Gillian Lawrence of Madison, Wisconsin; and her loving grandchildren, Alexander Mayer of Seattle, Washington, Joshua Lawrence of Milan, Italy, Sascha Mayer of Burlington, Virginia, Nlkkl Mayer of Albany, New York, and Samuel Lawrence of Madison, Wisconsin. Other survivors Include her sons-in-law, Edward Mayer and Daniel Nevers; her slsters-in-iaw and brothers-in-law, Russell Dahlman, Gretchen and Otto Scherr, Helen and Harold Grenel, and Mary Pike; her best friend for more than seventy years, Margie Roecker, and many other dear friends and relatives. Inez's family would like to thank her many friends and relatives who kept In touch with her, through cards and letters and visits, after she moved to Madison.

They also extend a most appreciative thank you to the staff of Methodist Health Center for their kind and excellent care, it was very difficult for Inez to leave her home and al of her friends In Wauwatosa The nurses, aides, social workers, activity staff, housekeeping staff and administrators at Methodist did their very best to ease her home sicknesses, and to help her odlust to life away from her friends. The affection and the gentleness they showed to Inez, and to her family, during the last weeks of her Illness not only gave comfort, but clearly defined what It Is we mean when we talk about living, and dying, with dignity." Kermit was a member of Madison Masonic Lodge 5, a 32nd Degree Mason belonging to the Modison Scottish Rite Bodies. He was born on February 20, 1914, hi the Town of Burke, the son of David and Ella Dunn. Russell married Lillian Nordness on June 21, 1939, In Madison.
