Helms and at least one White House official have been questioned in connection with the Justice Civil Rights Division investigation of the Feb. 19, 1971, break-in, sources said. That break-iilby CIA security officers and Fairfax City police occurred at a photo studio owned by a former middle-level Cuban propaganda official and his fiancee, a former CIA employe who is the daughter of a high-ranking CIA official.

The Cuban, Orlando Nunez, later married the CIA employe, Deborah Fitzgerald. They now have a film company which has produced some Spanish-language films for other government agencies. The CIA conducted the break-in at the former Roland Studios, an apartment housing a commercial photo studio in Fairfax City, to determine whether Miss Fitzgerald had breached CIA security while working as a file clerk. Earlier, she had reported her invol-veme with Nunez to CIA security officers, who apparently were concerned that she was seeking files about her boyfriend.
