Clifford Fietz Dies in Car-Train Crash Today's Funerals in Madison -Clifford Fietz, 48, was killed Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 25, 1972) when the car he was driving and a Milwaukee Road train collided in Randolph. Born in Sauk County, Mr. Fietz married Jean Lauzon in 1947. He was a mechanic for the of Columbus.

A World War II. veteran, he was la member of the Globe and Anchor Marine Corps League. Surviving in Madison is a sister, Mrs. Leslie Thomas, 2939 Harvey St. Also surviving are his wife, Jean; a daughter, Mrs.

David Paul, Randolph; a son, Donald, Townsend, his mother, Mrs. Anna Fietz Columbus; two other sisters, Mrs. Mae Opel, Columbus; and Mrs. Marian Pollard Fontana eight brothers, Erwin, Beaver Dam; Wilard Scobey, Clarence and both of Columbus: Orlin, Waupun; Russell, Fall River; John, Randolph; and Kendall, San Antonio, and one grandson. The funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Friday in the Zion United Methodist Church, Beaver Dam. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Randolph. Hugh T. Clark HUGH CLARK Hugh T.

Clark, 68, of 1733 Vahlen died Wednesday (Jan. 26, 1972) in a Madison hospital after as short illness. Born in Rockwell, Mr. Clark had been a Madison resident since 1925. He was a mechanic with the Oscar Mayer Co.

Raymond Benz, Leesburg, Mrs. Lawrence Petersen, 1726 Schlimgen Mrs. Clarence Penny, Mason City, and Mrs. Vernon Hobler, 3706 Hammersley Ave; a brother, Asher Clark, Mason City, and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m.

Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden. Friends may call at the Schroeder Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington from 4 to. 8 p.m.

Friday. The family suggested that memorials be made to the church or the Methodist Hospital Partnership Fund. Mayes Rites BELOIT The funeral for Mrs. William Mayes, 80, who died Tuesday, will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.

She was the former Sylvia Allan. Surviving are two sons, Arthur, Beloit; and Russell, Ft. Myers, a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Germain, Rock City, two brothers, Walter, Beloit; and Robert, Salem, two sisters, Mrs. Winifred Wakeman, Beloit; and Mrs.

John Hartman, Jackson, nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Jadzinski TOMAH Mrs. Isobel Jadzinski, 49, died Monday (Jan. 24, 1972) in a hospital after a long illness.

former Isobel Dickson was married to Jan Jadzinski in 1952 in Roslin, Scotland. They had lived in Chicago 1 until moving to Tomah in 1965. Surviving are her husband; her mother, Mrs. Isobel Dickson, Roslin, Scotland; a sister, Mrs. Ann Hepplewhite, Roslin Scotland; and two stepbrothers, Jack Dickson, Glasgow, Scotland; and Alex Dickson, Harogate, England.

The funeral will be at 1:30 today at the White Funeral Home, where friends may call until the time of services. Grant E. Johnson, 81, Evansville, Dies EVANSVILLE Grant E. Johnson, 81, an Evansville pharmacist for nearly 25 years, was found dead in his car on E. Main St.

at about noon Wednesday (Jan. 26, 1972). Evansville Police Chief Richard Luers said Mr. Johnson I had been driving around Evansville when he suffered an apparent heart attack. Mr.

Johnson had Marquette University and attended registered as a pharmacist 1916. Before serving in World War 1 I he had worked Hayward. After the war, he worked Viroqua and Washburn before purchasing the Van Wart Drug Store in Evansville in 1923. operated the pharmacy until, selling it and retiring in 1947. He married the former Gladys Johnson in 1917.

She died in 1970. Surviving in the Madison area are a son, Jerry, 5505 Goucher Lane, Monona; and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Ward Funeral Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Robert P. Goven BELOIT Robert P. Goven, 52, was dead on arrival at a Janesville hospital Tuesday night (Jan. 25, 1972) after an apparent heart attack. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Overton-Schoenfeld Funeral Home.

Tuesday, will be at 1:30 p.m. today in the Hansen Funeral Home. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are a daughter, Lucille Jinsky, Beloit; a boar, Floyd, Wisconsin Rapids; a brother, John, Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Irene and Ebaucher, Mrs.

Carl Beaman, St. Wisconsin Rapids; Paul, three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. John Weilep BELOIT Mrs. John Weilep, 97, died Tuesday (Jan.

25, 1972) in a Beloit nursing The former Effie hometcham was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Oshkosh. She was a former Oshkosh resident. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Burton Williams, Beloit; one grandchild; and two greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be at 7:30 tonight in Caravilla Senior Citizen Center Chapel, where friends may call after 4 p.m.

Brandie Currell Word has been received of the death of Brandie 5, daughter of Mr. and George Currell, Phoenix, on Jan. 20 in Phoenix. Her survivors include her: ternal grandparents, Mr. Mrs.

Darrell Schultz, Phoenix, and her great-grandmother, Mrs. Helen Morton, Phoenix, former Madison residents. The funeral was held week in Phoenix. (Jan. 26, 1972) in a Portage pital after a brief illness.

He was a landscaper and was as member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church, Dubuque. Surviving are his wife, Emma; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Korcel, Potosi; and Mrs.

Jack Boley LAKE MILLS- Mrs. Jack Boley, 78, died Tuesday (Jan. 25, 1972) in a Jefferson nursing home after a long illness. The former Helen Stelse was born in London, and was married to Ed Schwindler. Mr.

Schwindler died in 1933. She was then married to Jack Boley in 1934. She operated a boat livery and resort on Rock Lake from 1951 and was a member the Lake Mills Moravian Church. Surviving are her husband; and a brother Gust Stelse, Whitewater. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m.

George Jaeger BEAVER DAM-Mrs. George Jaeger, 76, died Monday (Jan. 24, 1972) in her daughter's home in Beaver Dam. She was born in Germany and was married in 1924. Mrs.

Jaeger was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Hofer, Beaver Dam; three sisters, Mrs. Maria Spoheer, Mrs.

Elizabeth Dieter, and Mrs. Gertrude Hild, all in Germany; and Sour grandchildren. The funeral will be alt 11 a.m. today in the church. ray Funeral Home TV'S PHILCO Riha NEW LISBON Frank J.

Riha, 67, died Tuesday (Jan. 25, 1972) in a Tomah hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Czechoslovakia and married Mary Frantal in 1935. They lived in Chicago until moving to New Lisbon in 1965. He was a member of the Czechoslovakian Society of America.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. George Wagemann, Crestwood, and Mrs. Terry Soldat, Lombard, a brother, Lyons, two sisters, Mrs. Ed Sirovy and Mrs. Ben Sedivy, both of Cicero, and eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Hare Funeral Home where friends may call after 1 p.m. today. NIRS, FLORENCE ONSGARD Mrs. Clarence K.

Onsgard, 76, of 4216 Hegg died Wednesday (Jan. 26, 1972) while visiting her daughter in Edgerton of an apparent heart attack. A Koshkonong area native, she had lived in Madison most of her life. The former Florence Barton married Clarence Onsgard in 1915. He died in 1969.

Mrs. Onsgard was a former employe of Manchester's. She was a member r. of Our Savior's Lutheran Church for more than 50 years, its Ladies Aid, and the East Circle. Surviving are two sons, Howand, 4410 Gordon and Clarence, Wood; a daughter, Mrs.

1 Caryl Murwin, gerton; a brother, Ernest, Edgerton; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Rockney, 407 W. Washington and Mrs. Nora Pierce, Edgerton; six grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m.

Mrs. Margaret Diehl PRAIRIE DU SAC Mrs. Margaret Diehl, 48, died Tuesday (Jan. 25, 1972) in a Madison hospital after a brief illness. The former Margaret Feller was married to Albert Diehl in 1941.

She was a member of the First United Church of Christ. Surviving in Madison is a son, Richard, 2914 Ashford Lane. Also surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Gary Schlender, Green Bay; two sons, Kurt and Greg, both at home; her father, Ernest er; Sauk City; brother Edward Feller, Sauk City; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Stewart, Prairie du Sac; and Mrs.

Harry Mann, Sauk City; and one grandchild. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the church. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the Zimmermann Funeral Home, Sauk City.

Surviving are his wife, the former Beatrice Koch; a daughter, Susan, at home; two sons, John and Frank, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Plucinski Elkhorn; and three brothers, Robert and Harvey, both of Elkhorn; and Leonard, Whitewater. The, funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Johnson, 68, of 505 N. Frances died Wednesday (Jan. 26, 1972) in a hospital after a brief illness. He had been a McFarland resident for most of his life. Johnson was a retired employe of the Yellow Cab Co.

He was a former member of the McFarland Lutheran Church. Surviving are two sons, Richard, Weston, and David, Rt. 2, Waunakee; and three grandchildren. Private funeral services will be held Friday at the Frautschi Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 p.m. today.

Burial will be in the McFarland Cemetery. Lawrence Maas WHITEWATER Lawrence Maas, 67, died Tuesday (Jan. 25, 1972) in a Lake Mills nursing home after a long illness. A World War I veteran, Mr. Maas was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Edna Titus, Racine; and two brothers, Earl, Whitewater, and Kenneth, Burlington. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Skindingsrude Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Alfred Hansen CAMP Alfred Hansen, 73, died Monday (Jan. 1972) in a Hillsboro hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Denmark and came to the Camp Douglas area 1918. He married Emma Finin 1944. Surviving are his wife; two brothers, Anton, Ft.
