A State Journal reporter made inquiry at the secretary of Btate'g office concerning the above matter. It was found that the joint resolution creating the committee of investigation and authorizing iU work was adopted by the house and was, April 7, concurred in by the senate. But on the return of the resolution from the nenate, by some clerical error it failed to lie enrolled. The secretary of state is of the opinion that this will not prevent the carrying out of the provisions as contemplated.
