on Friday, April 23, at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL with the Reverend David Petersen officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Center Cemetery. MADISON Mr. August J. Strassman, age 88, of 408 North Street died on Wednesday, April 21, 1982, at a local nursing home. Born on August 28, 1893, in Verona, he was a retired carpenter. He was a member of St.

Bernard's Catholic Church and of the Carpenters Local. Survivors are four sons, Raymond, Gerald, August, Jr. and Delmar, all of Madison; a daughter, Delores Strassman of Madison; a brother, Henry of Madison; a sister, Sr. Henrico at St. Mary's Retirement Center In Baraboo; twenty-one grandchildren; and thirty-three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH at 2450 Atwood Avenue at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, with the Reverend John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery in Verona.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. on Friday at the JOYCE FUNERAL HOME at 540 West Washington Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Vitous, Joseph p. II MADISON Joseph P. Vitous II, age 49, of Madison, died on Monday, April 19, 1982, at his home.

He was born September 6, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Joseph P. Vitous I and Lillian R. Raha. He was employed at MATC-Watertown campus for the last year.

He Is survived by a son, man for harmony, suspen Chicago; at the Mechanical Excange in Madison; and at the Milwaukee Minority Badger Ordinance and a retired credit manager for the Sherwin Williams Company. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church in Portage, the Knights of Columbus, C.W. Henney Council No. 1637. He is survived by two sons, Robert T.

of Middleton and Stephen J. of Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Calixta) Swanson, Portage and Mrs. Marie Schoenwetter, Beaver Dam; a brother, Clifford Monthey, Portage; and two granddaughters, Joanne and Kristine. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Madonna.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 23, 1982 at 10 a.m. from St. Marys Catholic Church, Portage with Father James G. Kramer officiating. Burial will be in St.

Moser, age 58, of 508 Reed Street, died on Tuesday, April 20, 1982. He was born on Janurary 26, 1924 In Loraine, Wisconsin, the son of Martha Binius and Fred Moser. He was married on September 11, 1948 to the former Lois Folk and she preceded him in death on October 4, 1979. Mr. Moser was a Program Assistant in the DBR Department for the State of Wisconsin.

He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a former church treasurer. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 67 in Lake Mills. He had owned and operated Moser's Village Square in Lake Mills. Survivers include two daughters, Mrs.

David (Corrine) Dey of Lake Mills, Mrs. John (Reine) Schultz of Lake Mills; two grand children; his mother, Mrs. Martha Moser of Mill Valley, California; three sisters, Mrs. Ray Ortloff of Anaheim, California, Mrs. Harold Kraimer of Groton, Mrs.

Raymond N. Janus, age 45, owner of the Maxmillian House, died of an apparent heart attack on Tuesday morning, April 20, 1982. Born on July 2, 1936, in Chicago, he had managed the Town Country Club in Edgerton prior to purchasing the Maxmillian House on April 20, 1968. He was married to Kathie Beck on November 16, 1974. He was a member of the St.

John the Baptist Catholic Church and of its Usher Society. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus No. 1864 and of the Jefferson County Tavern League for which he was a past treosurer. He was a buiness administration graduate of Madison Business College in 1968. Survivors are his wife; his mother, Mrs.

Ann Janus of Edgerton; a brother, Lawrence of Edgerton; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Bergin of Edgerton; and many relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH.

He was born May 14, 1910 in the town of West Point, later moving to Dane where he lived all of his life. He was married to the former Carrie Midthun on Janurary 7, 1937. He farmed all of his life in the Dane area and after retirement worked for Terra Fertlizer in Dane, Wisconsin.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Dane. Surivivers include his wife Carrie; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Zeman, Waunakee, Mrs. James (Patricia) LaBelle, Modison, Mrs. Charles (Laurie) Bakken, Dane, Wisconsin, Mrs.

Vince (Kim) Niesen, Madison; three sons, James of Dane, Jack of Lodi, Steve Junior of DeForest; 16 grand children; four sisters, Mrs. Harold (Irene) Koch, Lumbard, Illinois, Mrs. Claremont (Nellie) Redders, South Carolina, Mrs. John (Margaret) Kayartz, Wyocena, Mrs. Donald (Lorraine) Tobios, Madison; two brothers, Raymond, Cape Coral, Florida, and George of Madison.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Charolette) Arsand, Mrs. Bernard (Mabel) Ubersetzig; two brothers, Daniel and Rudy; and a great son Mark. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST in Dane, Wisconsin.
