Post RICHARD J. POST Richard J. Post, 60, of 2132 Commonwealth Ave. died early Wednesday, (June 5, 1972) in a Madison hospital. Mr.

Post worked for the past eight years as a painter at the State Capitol. He was a Madison resident for 40 years. He married the former Agnes McCoy in 1939. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs.

Neil Mix, Wausau; Mrs. William Jordon, Oakridge, and Pamela Post, at home; two sons, James and John, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Suchomel, Sun Prairie; and Mrs. Ed Lynaugh, Rt. 3, Madison; four brothers, George, Preston, Lucian, Dubuque, Donald, 3608 Gregory and Vernon, 1902 Manley both of Madison; four grandchildren.

Smith Funeral BELOIT The funeral for Claude A. Smith, 76, who died Monday, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Rosman-UehlingKinzer Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 tonight. He was a lifelong Beloit resident and a former motorcycle garage operator. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Florence Erickson, Beloit; and Mrs. Dorothy Galin, Milwaukee. Orval Pourchot FRIENDSHIP Orval E. Pourchot, 61, died Wednesday (July 5, 1972) in a hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Pourchot was born in Flora, and worked in Taylorville, until moving to Friendship in 1954. He was employed as a real estate broker until the time of his death. He married the former Margaret Wolfe in 1932. Surviving are his wife; his parents, Mr.

and Mrs. James Pourchot, Oxford; two brothers, Gene, Oxford; and Leonard, DeKalb, and a sister, Mrs. (Lola Dickerson, Taylorville, Ill. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Roseberry Funeral Home.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today. Lennon Rites Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Resurrection Cemetery, 2705 Regent for John E. Lennon, 39, Littleton who died June 29 i in a Denver hospital.

He was stationed for a time at Truax Field as a first lieutenant in the Air Force. He was employed as a pilot for United Air Lines for the last five years. The Ryan Funeral Home, 235 King St. is in charge of arrangements. Surviving are his wife, the former Violet Duerst of Belleville; two sons, David and John, and two daughters, Karen a and Sandra, all at home; and his father, David Lennon, and a sister, Mrs.

Delores Haire, both of Augusta, Mich. Mrs. Pergande TOMAH Mrs. Martha Pergande, 86, died Monday (July 3. 1972) in a Sparta hospital after a long illness.

She married Arthur Pergande in 1911. He died in 1959. Mrs. Pergande was a Gold Star Mother. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs.

Fred Rice, Racine; and Mrs. Arnold Storkel, Warrens; a sister, Mrs. Ella Kelley, Tomah; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. 'The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today in the White Funeral Home where friends may call this morning.

Die in Crash of Car, Camper Edward Elliott, Retired Papers' Employe, Dies EDWARD ELLIOTT Edward L. Elliott, 81, of 415 N. Lawn a former custodian at Madison Newspapers, died Wednesday (July 5, 1972) in a Madison hospital after an illness. He was born in Mt. Hope and was a longtime Madison resident.

He joined Madison Newspapers, Inc. in 1952 and retired in 1968. Mr. Elliott was: a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Irene Boylen whom he married in 1915; three sons, Robert 4402 Mandrake Joseph, Baraboo; and Michael, Algonquin, five daughters, Mrs. Owen Roach, Eastman; Mrs. Edwin McWilliams, 21 N. First Mrs. Robert Boylan, 4106 Major Mrs.

Herb Wilkinson, Eagle, and Mrs. James Conner, Oregon. Two brothers, John, 2138 Fox and Michael, Prairie du Chien; four sisters, Albert Boylen, Eastman; Mrs. Louis Degenhardt, Prairie du Mrs. William Grimm, Highland, and Mrs.

Joseph Neis, Mineral Point; 46 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the church. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the Ryan Funeral Home, 235 King where the rosary will be recited at 8 tonight.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. James A. Kautman PRAIRIDIE DU CHIEN James A. Kautman, 78, died Wednesay (July 5, 1972) in a Prairie du Chien nursing home after a long illness. He was a retired boilermaker for the Milwaukee Road.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the Prairie du Chien VFW and American Legion Posts. Surviving are a son, Arthur, and two stepsons, Clarence Welsch and Leo Welsch, all of Prairie du Chien; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Allen, Hot Springs, S.D.: and Mrs. Fred Harbak and Mrs.

Charles Vick, both of Phillips; and 14 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the church. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Lake-Thornburg Funeral Home.

Ronald G. Lokken BELOIT Ronald G. Lokken, 28. was found dead Wednesday (July 5, 1972) at his home. Rock County Coroner Richard McCaul said the death was due to carbon monoxide poisoning.

He said the investigation has not been completed and a ruling on the death will be made today. Mr. Lokken was employed by the Chrysler Belvidere, Ill. He was an Army veteran, and served as a paratrooper with the Green Berets. Surviving are a son, Todd, at home; his parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Willard Lokken, Beloit; a sister, Mrs. Charles Rose, Beloit; and his grandmother, Mrs. Ruby Ommodt, Beloit. The funeral will be at 1 p.m.

Friday in the Chilson Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. Richard H. Reynolds Richard H. Reynolds, 50, of 305 W.

Lakeview died Wednesday (July 5, 1972) in a Madison hospital after a long illness. He was born in Dodgeville and was a Madison area resident for 20 years. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call today from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr. He was killed by a taxicab as he and his parents were returning from the Monona fireworks display. He was a member of the church.

Memorials may! be given to the church. Mrs. Lydia Holmes, Ex-Waitres, Dies Mrs. Lydia Holmes, 68, of 154 Division a retired waitress at Hotel Loraine, died Wednesday (July 5, 1972) i in a Madison hospital after a brief illness. The former Lydia Kuhnau was born in Elgin, Minn.

and was a Madison resident since Her husband Earl Holmes died in 1944. She was a waitress at the Hotel Loraine for 20 years until retiring. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Surviving are a son, James 5757 Forsythia Place; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Groth, Prairie du Sac; Mrs.

Arthur mann, Baraboo; and Mrs. O. R. Rice, Delavan; and two brothers, Leonard Kuhnau, Waukesha; and Henry Kuhnau, Baraboo. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m.

Rounds, 18, of rural Wauzeka died Tuesday (July 4, 1972) at al Dodgeville hospital from ries received in a car-pickup camper head-on collision at 10. p.m, on Highway 18 about a mile west of Montfort. Also killed in the accident was the driver of the camper, Elmer E. Carlson, 53, of Humboldt, Ia. Mr.

Carlson's wife, Mary, 47, and sons, Phillip, 17, and Curt, 13, were injured in the accident. Miss 1 Rounds was alone in her car. Dr. Leo Becher, Grant County coroner, is investigating the accident. Miss Rounds was the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Carl, Rounds, of rural Wauzeka. She had graduated from Boscobel High School in June. Surviving are her parents; three sisters, Mrs. David Dombeck, Wauzeka; and Marlene and Carol, at home; two brothers, John, at home; and Bernard, Highland; and her grandfather, Percy Rounds, Boscobel.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Boscobel United Methodist Church. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at the Thoni and Kendall Funeral Home. Walter Hovey ELROY Walter J.

Hovey, died Wednesday (July 5, (1972) in a hospital after a long illness. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Jess Buchert, Elroy. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Zenner Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m.

today. Otto Broderdorf FALL RIVER Otto R. Broderdorf, 72, was dead on arrival at a Columbus hospital Wednesday (July 5, 1972) becoming ill at home. Mr. Broderdorf was a lifelong resident of Fountain Prairie, and was a member of St.

Stephen's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Martha Nielsen; a son, Armin; and a daughter, Beverly, both at home; and Mrs. Carl Vick; and a brother, Edgar, both of Columbus. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the church.

Floyd Von Haden, 49, died Wednesday (July 5, 1972) at her home after a brief illness. She was the former Margaret Haukom, born in Tomah, and was married to Mr. Von Haden in 1944. Mrs. Von Haden was a mem-1919.

Levi Torkelson BRODHEAD Levi M. Torkeison, 83, died Tuesday (July 4, 1972) at a Brodhead nursing home where he had been living since June 21. A former railroad employe, he also farmed and was a police officer in Albany, Brodhead, and New Glarus, He married the former Teressa Maude Rossiter on Sept. 19, 1937. Surviving are his wife; five sons, Clarion and Bertrun, both of Monroe; Ernest, Brodhead; Howard and George, Blanchardville; two daughters, Mrs.

Harold Ayen, Argyle; Mrs. Fred Kelb, Blanchardville; a sister, Mrs. Lola Perkins, Beloit; 26 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Everson Funeral Home.

Friends may call after 7 tonight. Julianna Voigt WATERTOWN Julianna Voigt, 67, died Monday (July 3, in a Milwaukee hospital after a long illness. She was born in Lebanon and lived in Milwaukee for most of her life. She was a nurse. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs.

Arthur Baumann and Mrs. Dorothy Turke, both of Watertown. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in 'the Hafemeister Fufuneral Home. There will be no visitation.

Lester S. Caine WATERTOWN Lester S. Caine, 80, died Tuesday (July 4, 1972) in a hospital after a long illness. He farmed in the LowellReeseville area before moving to Watertown in 1936. married the former Leona Hoeft in Surviving are two sons, Simon and Jerome, both of Watertown; three sisters, Grace Kilnger, Watertown; Mary Ann Holz, Juneau; and Cecelia Behnke, Mayville; a brother, Chester, Lowell; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Henry's Catholic Church. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the Boyle-Helser Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Koehler REESEVILLE Mrs. Gerhard Koehler, 77, died Tuesday (July 4, 1972) in a Juneau hospital after a long illness. The former Clara Zarwell was married to Gerhard Koehler in 1924. She was a member of the United Church of Christ and its Woman's Guild, and the Christian Fellowship Society.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Vernon Roth, Reeseville; and Mrs. Daniel Schowalter, Kewaskum; two Mrs. Ed Brom and Mrs. Herman Kranz, bothof Beaver Dam; three brothers, William and Herbert, both of the Town of Calamus; and Oscar, Beaver Dam; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Kuehl Funeral Home here, and after 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Frank Witzeling Frank Witzeling, 77, of 403 Lance Lane, was dead on arrival Wednesday (July 5, 1972) at a Madison hospital after an apparent heart attack. Arrangements are pending at the Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr. Oscar -G. Losey MONROE Oscar G. Losey, 77, died 1 Tuesday (July 4, 1972) at his home of a heart attack he suffered shortly after returning from a fireworks display at Twining Park.

He married the former Phyllis Smith in 1919. They farmed in the Monroe area. He later was employed for several years at the Rosa Greenhouse and Garden Center. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving in Sun Prairie is al (daughter, Mrs.

Louis Janke, 136 W. Goodland St. Also surviving are his wife; another daughter, Mrs. Roy Gessler, Woodland, a son, Maynard, Dakota, two brothers, Floyd, Nekoosa; and Harold, Hancock; two sisters. Mrs.

Grace Hinic, Hancock; and Mrs. Mae Fiest, Plainfield; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Stuessy Funeral Home, where friends may call after 3 p.m. today.

Roy Grundahl Roy Grundahl, 65, of 812 Jenifer died Tuesday (July 4, 1972) in a Madison hospital after a brief illness. He was a member of the Blanchardville Lutheran Church. He was employed by Humiston, Keeling, and 849 1 E. Washington a drug distributor, for several years until his retirement in January. Surviving are two sons, Donald, 405 Lance Lane; and Dennis, stationed with the Marine Corps in Pertuckson, a daughter, Mrs.

Gary Baker, 117 Garnet Lane; four stepbrothers, Milo, Mt. Horeb; Henry, Oregon; Amos, Janesville; and Clarence, Beaver Dam; his stepmother, Mrs. Marit Grundahl, Stoughton; and three grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the church.
