SUNDAY, MADISON, MAY 13, 1928 Mary Atwood to Spend Summer Studying Abroad Sails on June 16 to Pass Third Summer in Post-Graduate Study at Geneva ISS MARY ATWOOD, daughM ter of Livingston Mrs. David street, Atwood, sail from, New York City on 16 on the "Homeric," to continue post-graduate study in international relations at the university Geneva, Switzerland.

Miss will also do summer work for the Non-Partisan League of Nations building, and will return to this country October to resume her position in the history department of the Liggett School at troit, where she has been an structor during the past year. Following her graduation from University of Wisconsin, Miss wood spent a year in study at Geneva. She also spent last summer there, having received a scholarship in the school of politics. wood is the great-granddaughter David Atwood, founder of the Wisconsin State Journal. Before her departure for Europe, Miss Atwood will be one of the tendants at the wedding of Miss Betty Burgess in Cicago.

TO PLAY AT LENORE JOHNSON RECITAL Miss Alice Plumlee will give solo violin number in the intermission between the first and second parts the dance recital to be given Saturday evening, May 26, by Miss Lenore Johnson and her pupils. Miss Plumlee, who is but twelve years old, is a talented violinist and studying under Gilbert Ross at the Wisconsin School of Music. Mr. Van Wagenen will be graduated this June from the Law School of the university. He is affiliated with Sigma Nu and Phi Alpha Delta fraternities. Both Miss McGovern and Mr.

Van Wagenen have been prominent in campus activities and have participated in numerous dramatic productions. EUTERPE CLUB POSTPONED The meeting of the Euterpe club which was to have been held the coming Tuesday at the home of Mrs. J. W. Watson has been postponed until Tuesday, May 22. and will be held at the home of Mrs.

C. A. Sakrison. The event will be "Officer's Day" and will be the occasion for the annual club party. Phi Beta Chapter To Honor Faculty At Dinner May 15 BETA, national professional DIT speech sorority, will entertain the members of the Speech department of the university at a dinner on Tuesday evening.
